Oh the scariness of IPV6… What will we do with thousands of ip’s per person..
So to be short or at least not long winded.
If you were to try to ping a server and you get a hexadecimal mess:
Of course you were looking for the IPV4 address:
you say to yourself… whoa how’d he do that?
Look at the parameter after ping….
the –4 does the trick.
Now it works as well the opposite way.
You can also detect a server or servers have IPV6 installed this way.
