How to add OEM branding to Vista or 7 Start Menu

Way back in XP (all versions) there was a way to add a OEM link in the start menu. Kinda made it cool to tweak and add features. At one time I made it like a ftp shortcut for a server that had a massively long string for a url. Way back before I was a web admin. So basically the web admin would have slapped my former self. (get off topic).

So when windows vista and 7 came out they being Microsoft decided to do away with that. which I was upset. Mad enough not to say anything.

But I created a few vm’s and went to work on tweaking the “help and support” button in windows 7 and Vista due to the idea Windows never really helps.

This is what I came up with.

This works awesome in Vista any version. Windows 7 you have to take ownership of {2559a1f1-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0} to tweak it.
