So I was emailed(Wait how’d the internets get my address?) a question last week. The question was:<summarized>I like your web site it seems kinda interesting. However what is up with the incoherent Mikes Links Monday feature? The links and pictures are all over the place and what is with animated gifs? Have you not heard of flash or the new silverlight? Please stop making the internets an ugly place. </summarized>

I agree the Mikes Links Monday are a hodge podge of ideas that just fall out. Especially the pictures. The pictures are found all over the crazy cloud of data we all call the internet. Yes I have heard of the great little technologies of flash as well as silverlight. However animated gifs save bandwidth and just well are awesome (another term from the 80’s). Some one told me that my web site was too corporate at one time so I thought making it look like a myspace page at least once a week would make me more popular. I try to keep a bit of sarcasm and a lighter feeling with my links monday so that I do not become another link blog. So if I offend please send me your ip address as I will sniff for ip addresses onload (or when you hit my page) and write special css (cascading style sheets (you know the code that makes your website pretty?)) for your ip address that will hopefully make your experience here a joyful one. As always please send me your email as long as it isn’t another pharmacy ad or something that can make a special part of me larger (my brain). Sad news today. George Carlin Died of Heart Failure. He brought us the 7 deadly words. Most of what the FCC use as their rules for over the air.

Been fighting with Spyware for better over a week now. Have 4 workstations and 3 servers with a nasty little trojan. I had the name of it. However I have lost my notes on it. Publish it later. Sorry.

So the final nail in the coffin for Yahoo. Multiple Chairmen and presidents are running not walking away. Looks like the shareholders will file class action lawsuit. The mystery still remains: What is Yahoo hiding that they were afraid that Microsoft would see? Looks like it might not matter. A few futurists are planning for the Apple take over of both Microsoft and Google (Applications as well as media). Microsoft discounts Apple as the pretty little machine maker not much else.

Almost forgot the Woot off this past week was the Crappiest Crap ever and I mean just the crap that was for sell made it hard to follow. No word yet on the Bag of Crap contents.

So I collect some mobile applications for my Pocket PC/Phone. Some good mostly lame or beta. Here is a bunch of Applications good or bad that I have sitting on my Pocket PC phone right now.

Fring a Application that promises the world at least it maps to all your messenger and social sites for you.

Last.FM mobile Very Beta buy plays tunes over my data connection. *Warning can cost lots of money unless you have a unlimited data plan.

Pocket Gravity Not sure where I picked this one up. Fun using Geometry.

Pocket Sand Once again a favorite application that I can give the kids to play with for hours of interest.

ceTwit A pocket pc version of twitter. Not my favorite how ever it works well.

Tiny Twitter My favorite mobile twitter application

So in our trip to Lego Land 3 weeks ago I discovered Lego Land Minitures. This was my favorite part of Lego Land Here is the Pictures I took.

 

As you can tell if you have been to Lego Land that there is more. Unfortunately I was asked to move onto the kid rides. I would pay the 50dollars again just to sit for hours looking at this.
