So Hard To say GoodBye!
Today Was a promise to be a good Data Day!
On the Agenda was first ADO.NET Futures(Jasper.NET Project)
Heirarchial Data Binding using CLR and ADO.NET Technologies.
Using New IronPython Dynamic Data links and Reflection.
**Spoiler for you C# fans like me… NO SUPPORT… ***
Basically You have to be A VB.net and ADO.NET Fanboy.
It was admitted that ADO.NET and the older ADO technologies need to be replaced.
Last but not least was:
Accessing Data Services in the Cloud with Pablo Castro.
Pablo Described the Astoria.net Project.
Webpage=Presentation+behavior+data Allowing AJAX technologies to create a RIA (rich interactive application)
Effectivelya a web mashup of technologies.
So what does it do?
Well have you looked at webservices and web methods and the annoying invoke feature?
Take a database any given database and put a webpage shell over it with only one thats right one control(Astoria)
Then run the project and from the url data mine the database simply by adding your query to the url and the data is displayed however you like. Lets take a list view and connect it to the astoria control.
