Freedom from the Credit monster
Yeah I have to admit my savings account is a bit bare. Sure its because of the great economy and how I have to try to figure out how to live a bit tighter.
May I just say this is not a paid for ad.
I have always been into things that make me a better person.
Like 7 habits of highly effective people (Stephen Covey). Read those books cover to cover and listen to the audio tapes about every six months.
I know that seems a bit crazy however it is quite nice and refreshing to remember to keep yourself in check all the time. Make priorities with family and work acquaintances.
My father in law dropped off a great book about 3 weeks ago. Of course my wife who loves books took to reading and started telling me the ideas behind this killer book. At first I was extremely skeptical of what she was saying about the credit monster that I had been accustom to love.
The book is Dave Ramsey’s book (Total Money MakeOver).
I sat down with this book and opened my mind to what Dave Ramsey had to say. It wasn’t more than a hour later I was all sorts of confused. everything I had learned growing up about money was a myth or a bad wifes tale.
I totally recommend this book and or his lectures. Of course now my family and I are on the plan and trying our best to get baby step one done. We should have financial freedom sometime this year.
It’s is amazing how much money can be scary or interesting to deal with unless you know how to tame it and make it work for you. Stay clear of your anti-friends VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express all they want is to make you a slave to their schemes.
